Lunar New Year Celebration coming on February 6th!

Farmers Market Pavilion and Plaza, 85 E 8th Avenue, Eugene

Lunar New Year 2026 marks the Year of the Horse — specifically the Fire Horse — which begins on February 17, 2026, and continues through February 5, 2027. The Fire Horse symbolizes energy, freedom, bold action, and rapid change.

The ArtWalk Lunar New Year Celebration feature will feature “Year of the Horse” artwork by local artists and high school students as part of an open Call for Art exhibit.

Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite artwork in the People’s Choice Award, with cash prizes presented to the winners. Selected winning entries will be considered for the poster design for the 41st Annual Asian Celebration on July 18 at Alton Baker Park. A selection of artwork will also be exhibited at the Jordan Schnitzer Art Museum in late June for the annual Asian Celebration Art Exhibit and Showcase.

A brochure and map of the evening’s First Friday ArtWalk locations will be available for pickup at the Pavilion and at participating ArtWalk venues.
